Assessment and Management Tool - EMPOWER Sedative Deprescribing Tool

A patient education tool to assist with deprescribing sedatives, created by Canadian Deprescribing Network. A pilot study using the EMPOWER tool with hospitalized older adults found that sedatives were deprescribed in 64% of the participants (vs. the  hospital's historical rate of 21%) with no worsening of self-reported sleep.
