Toronto HomeShare Information Sessions

We are proud to be a member of the Toronto Seniors Strategy Accountability Table, and support initiatives such as the the Toronto HomeShare Program.  Toronto HomeShare is a City of Toronto program matching older adults aged 55+ with a spare room in their home with a post-secondary student seeking affordable housing. In exchange for reduced rent ($400-600 per month), the student provides up to seven hours per week of companionship and light help with household tasks.

The City of Toronto will be hosting a series of Information Sessions with the community service provider, the National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly (NICE), at various locations across the city, on Aug. 1, 6, 13, 15. Each Information Session will feature a presentation by City staff and the HomeShare program team, followed by a question and answer period. Attendees can speak with Toronto HomeShare program staff directly and fill out an application or take home an information package. Anyone who is interested in the HomeShare program is welcome to attend.
