West Park Healthcare Centre is seeking a Geriatrician

West Park Healthcare Centre looking for a second Geriatrician (0.5 – 1.0 FTE) to support the expansion of our Geriatric Services Program.  As an integral part of the team, the successful candidates will provide a variety of services: internal consults across various rehab /CCC service units, outpatient and community outreach services through the Geriatric clinic, telemedicine, and consults within the West Park Long-Term Care Centre, located on our campus.

Our program has continued to expand to meet the growing needs of the communities we serve. This is an exciting opportunity for a Geriatrician looking to join a dynamic team, and to play a vital role in designing, implementing and advancing program development and service delivery in the area of Geriatric Medicine, as the Centre is building a new 730,000 square foot facility. The new hospital will incorporate the best and latest in architectural design, emerging technologies and stunning therapeutic landscapes to help patients in their journey from crisis to hope.

  • Remuneration is via fee-for-service billing to OHIP. An Alternative Payment Plan is also available which complements specific aspects of our Geriatric Program. Additional revenue streams may be available for supervising learners/trainees.
  • Applicants must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with Certification or equivalent in Geriatric Medicine and licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario. New graduates are welcome to apply. Eligibility for academic appointment at the University of Toronto, and/or demonstrated capabilities in teaching and/or clinical research, is an asset.
